IBM And Sun Plan Java Portal API
IBM and Sun Microsystems this week will unveil Java programming technology to complement emerging Web-services standards for integrating apps into business portals. If widely adopted, the technology would replace many proprietary interfaces used by Java-based programming portal vendors, simplifying the integration process. IBM and Sun have submitted their Java Portal API to a standards body and plan to incorporate the technology in their portal frameworks next year.
