JBoss, Inc. Adds New Technical Features to Federated Open Source Projects

JBoss(R), Inc. announced several key technical features among its federated open source projects. The product releases and updates in January attest to the company's focus on driving technical innovation in Java middleware and support the build out of the JBoss Enterprise Middleware System (JEMS) into a comprehensive open source architecture that gives end users greater flexibility and technology choice.

JBoss will be showcasing JEMS and its federation of open source projects at the company's upcoming user conference, JBoss World 2005, which will take place at the Omni/CNN Center in Atlanta, Ga., March 1-2, 2005. Sessions will be delivered by members of the JBoss community, including customers, partners and JBoss architects and developers. Releases and updates for JBoss projects in January 2005 include:
* JBoss Portal 2.0 Alpha: JBoss Portal 2.0 will offer an integrated framework for building, deploying and maintaining flexible and scalable enterprise portals. With a final release expected later in 2005, this JBoss Portal Alpha release provides an initial portal framework, content management system, forum portlet and single-sign on support.
