Rapid Application Development Approach (RAD)
RAD is a software development approach that allows usable systems to be built in a short amount of time. RAD aims to reduce development time so that the majority of requirements can be met and implemented as quickly as possible. Quality compromises must be made, which products often being less efficient, less useable and less full featured. RAD is a member of the 4th generation programming languages, which puts its emphasis on what has to be done rather than the detail the products goes into.
